Product Development Joni is a consultant for the natural product, wellness, and spa industries. She has over 20 years experience designing formulary guidelines for skin and body care products, evaluating existing products, recommending ingredient improvements for efficacy and marketing, creating proprietary aromatherapy blends, and providing technical support for label copy, educational programs, and training manuals. She has overseen projects with a variety of manufacturers including Oshadhi, Beauty Without Cruelty, Eco-Dent, Juice Beauty, DreamTime, Tisserand Aromatherapy, and Bella Essentials. She often serves as a liason between the manufacturer and the cosmetic laboratory and provides formulary guidelines and recommendations for essential oils, herbs, plant oils, specific vitamins, and unique ingredients. Skin and Body Care Treatments (based on a healing model) Joni designs skin and body care treatments for wellness centers. Treatments are based on the principles of naturopathy and embrace the true meaning of healing, "to make whole." She evaluates and selects product lines, designs custom treatments, provides technical support, and trains staff. Education / Training Joni is a well-organized, knowledgeable, and thorough instructor. She teaches natural skin care and aromatherapy for lay people, staff, and professionals. She specializes in introductory aromatherapy training for massage therapists and aestheticians (skin care professionals). She also ‘trains the trainers’ for personal care lines, especially those oriented to the natural product and spa industries.
